We Had An Earthquake! And There is NEVER A Dull Moment At My Office

WHOA, kiddos! I was typing away at my desk when everything started wobbling like we were on a boat in the middle of the ocean during a storm. Not that I’ve done that, but I’ve got a good imagination. We’ve got train tracks behind my building (yeah it’s weird, I know) so I assumed that the train was going by but then I said, “Hark! I don’t hear train noises!” My next hypothesis was that I was having an allergic reaction to the Novocain I just had (I hate the dentist). Then I thought about how I’ve had it before and have never felt this way so then I was like “HOLY SHIZZ! EARTHQUAKE!” and I ran out from my office to see what was going on. Sure enough, there was a 5.8 earthquake in Virginia that we felt here. Crazy!

There is NEVER a dull moment in my office. Not that this happened strictly at my office, but still. At my office we’ve got people stealing copper wire from a nearby construction site and then the other day a pipe broke in a bathroom and flooded it (and the hallway outside) with inches of water. Oh, and then my dad knocked over the paper shredder and about a year’s worth of shreddings fell out and he caused a big scene. But that’s not as exciting. So anyway, lots of crazy stuff goes on at work! I’m never bored, that’s for sure.

Did you guys feel the quake? Everyone okay?
