I Caved and Downloaded Words with Friends…Best/Worst Decision Ever

Good evening, boys and girls! The past nine days have been a little chaotic as I traveled to Bethany Beach, Delaware and to New York City. Unfortch, the chaos will pick up again next week when I travel back to NYC for some surgery. Don’t you worry your pretty little heads though, I’ll do lots of writing so I have lots of fun and exciting shtuff for you to read while I’m gone. I’ll also have Substitute Teacher Chris in the mix to fill in the gaps (and give an update about how I’m doing in Happy Pills Land). I’ve gotchya covered!

Going back to work after you’ve been on vacation is less than enjoyable. For some reason I felt completely disoriented all day. Also, I couldn’t just sit around on the beach and then go in a hot tub when I got tired of doing that like I’d been able to for the past week. I actually had to, you know…do stuff for people. So…rough life. It was really nice to be back in my own apartment though. I felt like I had been gone for a bajillion years. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my little plant, Yves St. Laurent, had survived eight days without water. This seems somewhat miraculous. I think I need to start calling it “The Plant That Lived.”

I made a bad decision yesterday that I need to discuss. For about a year now I’ve held off on downloading the Words with Friends app. If you haven’t heard of it, you can basically play virtual Scrabble with your friends. I love Scrabble and I love my friends so this sounded like something I would easily get addicted to. Between Facebook, Twitter, The Sopranos, The Office, Jersey Shore and Teen Mom, I think I have enough distractions in my life. I don’t need any more. I was just saying “no” to Words with Friends. Then when I was in New York, my friend convinced me to download the app. I resisted for a while but she kept talking about its amazingness. So as soon as I got home I downloaded it. I’m a lemming, I know. I figured I’m going to have some down time when I have this surgery and…well, I just couldn’t resist. So now I have four games going and I’m constantly checking the stupid thing to see if it’s my turn to make a word. As predicted. I don’t feel bad about it though, at least it’s semi-educational.

Hope you guys are having a great start to the week. There’s a special hour and a half long episode of Teen Mom on right abouttttt now. Are you going to watch?

Talk to you soon!
