If I Had A Million Dollars I Would Try All Of The Beauty Products On This List

Then I would buy all of the amazing beauty goodies that I just read about in the October issue of Allure magazine. This month’s issue of Allure is the one where they do their “Best of” beauty products. They also talk about their all-time favorite products. Plus there’s a great interview with Olivia Wilde. Basically, this issue is right up my alley. I love when Allure does the “Best of” beauty issue because I like finding out about new products I should check out. The issue also helps me get out of a beauty rut that I may be falling into. Unfortunately I’m not made of money, nor am I independently wealthy. This means that I can’t go right out and buy all of the great things I read about. But I’ve created a list so I can slowly start trying the products that caught my eye.

Over the years this “Best of” Allure issue has introduced me to some of my all-time favorite products that I now use over and over. For example, this blush/bronzer combo from Nars:

Nars Blush/Bronzer combo in Orgasm/Laguna

I’ve used this blush/bronzer combo for a while now and I love it. You can buy it at Sephora. I like it because it works for all skin tones (even paler people such as myself). You can go more bronzer-heavy in the summer when you’ve got a tan, and you can focus more on the blush in the winter when you want a rosy glow. Love.

A few things I read about in the recent Best of Beauty issue that I’ve added to my “Must Try” list:

– Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow in Beige

– Smashbox eye shadow in Obsidian (supposed to be a good grey color for smokey eyes)

– Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Glow Pads. I keep reading about these self-tan wipes for your face. I’ve read about a lot of different self tan lotions for your body, but I never feel comfortable using them on my face because I’m afraid they’ll get streaky or make me break out. Apparently this was created by a dermatologist and Allure tells me that they exfoliate as they add color. They might be worth a try…on a day when I don’t have to go out in public ( just in case of a whoopsy doopsy).

I also like that Allure included the Clinique All About Eyes Serum De-Puffing Eye Massage. I got a sample of this once and now I’m hooked. It feels so amazing and helps with puffy undereye circles. Love. Another great choice to add to the list was Essie’s Mademoiselle. That’s my go-to nail polish color when I want something subtle and feminine, and don’t want to deal with the chips that come along with bright colors.

What’s on your “must-try” list? What are your beauty staples?
