Amy's Burritos: Yummy in my Tummy

Normally when I’m on my own for dinner I whip up a mean salad or a tuna sandwich. Or maybe something equally inexpensive and easy. But last night I was in the mood for something else. I was cruising around my local grocery store when I started to head down the organic aisle.  All of a sudden something caught my eye. And that something looked like this:

I had heard about Amy’s Burritos and I decided this was the night to try one. They’re supposed to be delicious and a good option in terms of frozen food (and Mexican). 310 calories per burrito and free of processed garbage that a lot of frozen meals have. I was intrigued. I got the burrito and decided to give it a shot. It was delicious. I’m not usually a fan of frozen meals. I went through a Lean Cuisine and Boca Burger phase sometime during sophomore year of college when I was broke and busy. I don’t want to return to that phase. But Amy’s Burritos are definitely a step above Lean Cuisines. The burritos taste really good and are filling. I’d definitely recommend them. Here’s the nutrition info. Not a ton of calories for a meal and the fat isn’t bad either. Good amount of protein too. I just noticed the sodium which made me say, “yikes” but I still love ’em for an occasional quick meal. Much better than Mickey D’s.
