You Can Tell a Lot About a Person From His/Her Twitter Bio

I’m currently writing and rewriting a tweet to Aaron Paul aka Jesse Pinkman on Breaking Bad. The fact that he may actually read my words sends me into convulsions. I just love him. I do. But I also need to know when season 4 comes out on Netflix because I don’t know how much longer I can wait. It’s starting to cause me physical pain. I don’t know if I should talk to Aaron like he’s Jesse Pinkman. On the one hand, it’d be kind of funny. But on the other hand, I’m sure every other fan of the show who sees him in person/tweets him probably thinks the same thing and talks to him like he’s Jesse Pinkman therefore he’s probably sick of it. So I should probably just address him like the real person he is. Problem solved. But how good is Jesse Pinkman?Seriously…. If you love him you’ll want to watch this.

Anyway, celebrity Twitter bios are an interesting thing. I think you can tell a fair amount about a celebrity and his/her ego by what he/she writes in that little Twitter bio. For example, Kevin Spacey’s Twitter bio says the following:

Former shoe salesman now making a go at film and theater. Wish me luck…

To me, that is awesome. How could he be cocky and arrogant with a bio like that? I mean, sure. Maybe he is. But I just feel like Mr. Spacey has to be at least semi down-to-earth if he’s willing to be that self-deprecating. I like it.

Then we have R.L. Stine’s bio. Remember him? Author of Goosebumps aka my favorite thing to check out of the elementary school library. Those were the good ole days. Mr. Stine writes: My job: to terrify kids.

How good is that? Simple and to the point and true.

I hope that one day I’m famous. And I hope that when this happens, I’m a cool celebrity. I don’t want to be one of those people who throws cell phones at assistants or says, “Do you know who I am!?” or only eats red Skittles or whatever these people do. You can’t be like that. Come on now. I feel like twenty years ago, divas were able to hide. Now you can’t. You’ve got cell phone cameras and Twitter and other means of getting “up close and personal” 24 hours a day.  And I hope that I have a cool, unassuming Twitter bio. We all have dreams, right?
