My New Favorite (Healthy) Snack

Good news! I made it through my minor procedure unscathed. Though I will say, as they were knocking me out with anesthesia they had “Bohemian Rhapsody” playing in the procedure room. I also woke up to the sweet sounds of “Starships” by Nicki Minaj. Strange, but I didn’t hate it. Actually, it brought me some comfort. See, I once read an interview with Megan Fox who explained that she has a fear of flying. She said that to soothe her anxiety during takeoff and landing, she listens to old school Britney Spears tunes. She then went on to explain that she felt that it would just be too ironic and weird if she died in a plane crash as “Toxic” was playing, so it made her feel safer.

In a way, I get it now. I couldn’t POSSIBLY due during a procedure when “Bohemian Rhapsody” was playing. That would just be too strange. I felt comfort as I drifted off to dreamland. So that’s over and apparently I woke up gushing about how niceeee everyone was and how greatttt I felt and how I wanted to write a letter to the hospital praising them. Embarrassing. Plus, who writes letters anymore? Just tweet them, obviously.

Once I could finally eat again (twelve hours is a LONG time okay?) I was extremely excited to get my paws on what may be my new favorite healthy snack. It’s called I Heart Keenwah and they’re little quinoa clusters flavored with goodness like sea salt and chocolate. Take a look:

I had always been reluctant to try quinoa. The texture weirded me out and it always looked like something that had already been chewed, but I made it a few weeks ago and became a fan. These little bites taste like those Chewy Quaker granola bars you chow down on in 5th grade. I’m a big fan. Even my boyfriend, who hates anything that looks or smells healthy, keeps asking me to buy more.
