I find something very peaceful about wandering the aisles of my local grocery store. Which is good, because I do it probably three times a week (at least). Hey, I drink a lot of coconut water and really love oranges and bananas. No shame, no shame. I also really enjoy trying out new (healthy) snacks. Some people discover new bands, and I discover new food products. Okay, I like to discover bands too, but that’s not the point.
I’ve made a few great grabs lately during my grocery store trips. They include Just Great Stuff powdered peanut butter. Sounds disgusting, right? I know. I thought the same thing. However, my friend swears by it and told me to try it. I’m a peanut butter fiend, so I was willing to at least give it a shot. Now I’m sold. This is what the product looks like:
One serving size (2 tbsp.) only has 45 calories, which is quite a lot less than regular peanut butter. As I’ve said here before, I’m also a diehard fan of Better ‘n Peanut Butter, but this is even better for you than that.
The powdered texture gave me the weirds at first, but as soon as you add water it turns right into peanut butter. It’s got a great nutty taste. I would definitely recommend it. It is a bit different in taste and texture from regular peanut butter, but I think it’s a valid substitute.
