It’s been a while since I finished a book and said “Noooo” when it was over, but Girls in White Dresses by Jennifer Close did that for me. I read it over the course of two(ish) days during Thanksgiving and was seriously sad when it was done. At one point my mom had to come out on the porch and check on me to make sure I was okay because she knew I was alone and yet was laughing hysterically, which is not totally normal. I told her about the book and she felt better about my sanity.
- a female in your 20s or 30s
- feeling like everyone around you is getting married and/or reproducing
- feeling slightly unsure about your life path
- a ride or die friend and appreciative of others who are too
then this book will be right up your alley. It follows three friends as they go through their late 20s and early 30s and the relationships, job issues, babies, and other normal life stuff that comes along with those years. I seriously felt like the author pulled the thoughts/fears/hopes out of my brain and put them into a book.
Okay, stop reading this post and go buy it now.
Have you read the book? What did you think?
